Currently in San Francisco — August 30, 2024: Lovely long weekend

Plus, a special message from our Founder, Eric Holthaus

The weather, currently.

Enjoy the last of Fogust

Whether it’s a long Labor Day weekend for you or not, the weather should make it a great couple of days ahead. Our daytime highs will creep up around 70, with some fluffy fog hanging around and the afternoon winds gusting up to 15 mph.

We’re heading into that part of SF’s late summer when the evenings get slightly warmer, with lows hovering around 60. It’s one of my favorite times of year, and I hope however you spend the days ahead, that you stay safe and enjoy our beautiful city.

Programming note:

Today’s issue will be the last for Currently San Francisco until we can secure a more stable source of funding. Thank you so much to each of our readers and members for the opportunity to deliver local weather and climate news to you daily for the past 3 ½ years.

May you have good weather,

Eric Holthaus,
